WAITLIST
The majority of ECDC’s enrollment happens in the May-August timeframe for spaces that will open at the end of the current school year (June) or the beginning of the new school year (late August or early September).
During the school year, some enrollment spaces become available due to children leaving the program. Those spaces are filled with appropriately aged children.
Priority for Federal Government Employees
Priority for available childcare services must be given to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Federal government, with priority going to the FDA community. ECDC agrees that the children of FDA employees (defined for purposes of the USE Agreement as FDA federal employees and fellows) will have priority for available childcare services.
From time to time, as monitored by the FDA PO, children of other Federal Agency employees and children of community-based parents (FDA affiliation and non-affiliation) may be given access to FDA-sponsored childcare centers.
Offering available spaces in the FDA Center only to children whose names appear on the current FDA Waiting List and in the order in which they appear. Any exception to this policy will require an enrollment waiver approval by the FDA PO. This “Administrative Transfer Policy” established by the FDA PO will be reviewed annually.
